KNOXVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) Knoxville Community Resource Center (CRC) is teaming up with the American Job Center to host a ‘One-Stop Reentry Shop’ for justice-involved individuals in Knoxville and its surrounding communities.

HENNING – The West Tennessee State Penitentiary (WTSP) and Women’s Therapeutic Residential Center (WTRC) will hold a rapid hiring event next Wednesday aimed at filling vacant correctional officer (CO) positions. Last month, Governor Lee announced a 37% increase to the starting salary for CO’s – bringing annual earnings for all new officers to $44,500.

WARTBURG – An inmate who absconded from a work detail in East Tennessee and was wanted for escape will now be returned to the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) custody. Jason Copley, 44, was a minimum-trustee inmate assigned to the Morgan County Correctional Complex when he was reported missing from a work site near the facility on Saturday evening.
