SOMERVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction’s “Operation Clean Up” continued yesterday at the Somerville Probation Parole field office. Officers and Special Agents with TDOC, along with officers from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Somerville Police Department and United States Marshal Service conducted intensive vehicle searches in the parking lot of the field office.

WARTBURG —The Tennessee Department of Correction is investigating the death of an offender at the Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX). Inmate Edward Raper, 61, was found unresponsive in his cell and despite attempts to revive him was pronounced dead early Friday morning.
