Day Reporting Centers/Community Resource Centers

The Tennessee Department of Correction operates seven Day Reporting Centers/Community Resource Centers across the state. These centers serve as alternatives to incarceration and provide structured and intensive outpatient programming to eligible offenders with a moderate to high substance use issue.

The Day Reporting Center (DRC) is a three-phase program that usually takes nine to twelve months to complete. To qualify for the DRC program, a participant must be under TDOC Community Supervision and have at least 18 months left on probation or parole.

The DRC programs are complimented by an on-site Community Resource Center (CRC), which provides access to various services and resources. CRC services are available to any offender on community supervision and anyone who has been released after the expiration of their sentence. Eligible offenders may receive a referral through their probation parole officer or contact the CRC directly for assistance.

Some services and resources offered by the CRC include recovery meetings, Adult Education/HiSET classes, employment services, anger management courses, one-stop resource and employment fairs, parenting classes, and more. Available services and resources vary based on location.

TDOC offers rehabilitative services, such as the DRC/CRC program, to enhance public safety by improving the lives of those released from custody and under supervision and helping them become productive members of society.
