Our Programs

In addition to providing consulting services to state agencies, CFG manages a number of enterprise-wide programs that make state government work better for Tennesseans. These programs drive innovation, promote accountability and efficiency, and recognize the service of employees across Tennessee State Government.

CFG Planning

Tennessee established its performance management system under the Governmental Accountability Act of 2013, which created the annual CFG Planning process, managed by Customer Focused Government (CFG). The planning process assists all 23 cabinet-level departments in aligning goals with the Governor’s Operational Priorities and improving operational efficiency and service delivery. Progress and performance data are publicly tracked through Transparent Tennessee to ensure accountability and transparency.

4-Year Strategic Planning

CFG supports all 23 cabinet-level departments in developing, monitoring, and reporting their 4-Year Strategic Plans. These plans align with the Governor's Operational Priorities and guide each department’s CFG Plan. The current plans cover goals and objectives from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2027.
