Court filing in the matter of James Thomas and David Hixson v. Haslam (driver’s license revocation for failure to pay court costs)

The Attorney General’s statutory duty is to defend the constitutionality of a statute of statewide effect.  Accordingly, this Office recently filed a Notice of Appeal in the U.S. District Court.  Today, this Office filed a Motion for Partial Stay Pending Appeal.  A copy is available here:  https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/attorneygeneral/documents/pr/2018/pr18-16-memorandum.pdf
