Sevier SR 71 Construction Prompts Overnight Lane Closures

Motorists traveling on State Route 71/US 441 in Sevier County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will affect traffic.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 20, there will be lane closures on State Route 71/US 441 between Spring Valley Road and Cates Lane near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as crews install in-stream diversions in anticipation of upcoming bridge replacement activities.

Lane closures will be in place nightly until 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 25.
