Culvert Installation Prompts Closure of SR 347 (Lone Star Road) in Sullivan County

Motorists traveling on State Route 347 (Lone Star Road) in Sullivan County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a significant impact on traffic.

Beginning at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, July 6, State Route 347 (Lone Star Road) will be closed between Christy Drive and Potato Hill Road as crews install a new culvert on this roadway in Bear Creek.

Motorists will be directed to use State Route 347 (Lone Star Road) and US 11W to bypass the work zone. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30.

This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions.  Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
