Construction Prompts Lane Closures on SR 136 in Putnam County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – As part of the SR 136 (Jefferson Avenue) resurfacing project from the I‑40 East ramps to SR 24, Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews will implement lane closures to perform necessary concrete curb repair work in advance of upcoming paving operations.

SR 136 North

·         Monday, July 6 at 7:00 PM through Friday, July 10 at 4:30 PM local time

·         The right travel lane from log mile 3.60 (south of East Stevens Street) to log mile 4.13 (Spring Street) will be closed

SR 136 South

·         Sunday, July 12 at 7:00 PM through Friday, July 17 at 4:30 PM local time

·         The right travel lane from log mile 4.13 (Spring Street) to log mile 3.75 (East Stevens Street) will be closed

These curb repairs will prepare the roadway for milling and paving activities scheduled to begin Sunday, July 19.
