MEDIA ADVISORY: State Route 54 Groundbreaking in Henry County

JACKSON, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Will Reid will join federal, state, and local officials for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction on the State Route 54 improvement project in Henry County on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Tuesday’s event begins at 10:00 a.m. CT.

WHERE:      The groundbreaking site is near the Tennessee/Kentucky state line.
                     From SR 54, follow the posted message boards toward the project area.
                     Upon reaching Hazel, Kentucky, turn onto State Line Road and continue following event signage to the                                         groundbreaking site.
