This closure will remain in place for the duration of the project. The posted detour is along SR-462 and SR-1. The contractor will be working on general clearing activities and utility work initially. HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at the Hamilton Place Mall interchange: The SR-153 southbound ramp to I-75 northbound has been reduced to one lane. Traffic shifts have been implemented on I-75 northbound and I-75 southbound, Shallowford Road entrance ramps, Shallowford Road exit ramps, and Hamilton Place Mall exit ramp. Hamilton Loop Road is closed for retaining wall construction and storm drainage installation between the intersections near Markman’s Jewelers and Texas Roadhouse. MARION COUNTY I-24 [137-138.2] from 137 to 138.2 Rockfall Mitigation on I-24 near MM 137: The contractor will be performing rockfall mitigation operations on I-24 WB beginning at MM 138.2 in Marion County. The middle lane, right lane, and right shoulder have been closed. 2 Lanes of traffic have been shifted to flow on the left shoulder and left lane. MARION COUNTY SR-108 [2.8-3.24] slide mitigation: The contractor will be performing slide mitigation operations, including grading, drainage and paving on SR-108 in Marion County at LM 2.8. MARION COUNTY SR-156 (STATE HWY. 156) TDOT Bridge Inspection both directions at LM 15.19: TDOT contractors are scheduled to perform scheduled inspections on the Shelby A. Rinehart Bridge, which is the SR156 bridge over the Tennessee River, from Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5. This will result in lane closures daily, from 8 AM until 5 PM. The inspection is scheduled to begin at 8 AM in the eastbound lane and shoulder, which will cause lane closures daily for up to 3 days, Monday through Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday, motorists should expect the westbound lane and shoulder to be closed from 8 am to 5 pm each day. Flaggers will be used to direct motorists through the work zone. Because it’s a flagging operation, motorists should be advised to approach the bridge with caution from either approach, be alert to the presence of inspection personnel and equipment on the bridge, look for flaggers, and be prepared to stop.

REGION 2 - drain cleaning on various Interstate and State Routes: Drain cleaning operations are planned on I-75, SR-153 and I-24 in Hamilton County. These operations are mobile along the inside shoulders with impacts to adjacent traffic lanes and will occur at night between 8 PM and 6 AM. REGION 2 - on-call cable barrier repair on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor will have short-term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform cable barrier rail repair. These closures will take place daily Monday through Friday during daylight hours on the interstates and some major divided highway state routes. There may also be nightly Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 6 AM, rarely and only as needed. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times. REGION 2 - on-call guardrail repair and new guardrail installation on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor will have short term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform guardrail repair. These closures will take place on the interstate nightly Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 6 AM and daily Monday through Friday on state routes. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times on the interstate, and flaggers will be present on state routes during any work that is performed.

Additionally, lane closures on this multi-lane highway will occasionally carry through nighttime hours (24-hour lane closures) with proper signage for curing of concrete and other bridge related setup as needed on infrequent occasions.

WHITE COUNTY SR-111 [15.25-16.25] from O'Connor Rd to Old Kentucky Rd culvert replacement: The contractor will be continuing work on installation of a box culvert. During this work, traffic will remain in one lane, and two-way traffic will be running on the northbound section of SR-111. Motorists are encouraged to use caution as they approach the work zone, and they should be prepared to stop.
