Resurfacing Work Prompts SR 35 - US 321 Lane Closures in Greeneville
Motorists traveling on State Route 35 (US 321) in Greene County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a significant impact on traffic.
Beginning on Monday, August 25, resurfacing activities will get underway on a 3.1-mile section of State Route 35 (US 321) between Ricker Avenue and State Route 34 (US 11E). While this work is taking place, on-street parking will be prohibited between the Main Street and Tusculum Boulevard intersections in downtown Greeneville.
There will be intermittent lane closures daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. during this resurfacing project. All work is expected to be complete on or before Friday, October 31.
This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
As always, drivers are reminded to use all motorist information tools wisely and “Know Before You Go!” by checking travel conditions before leaving for your destination. Drivers should never tweet, text, or talk on a cell phone while behind the wheel.
