TDOT Announces Bridge Repairs on I-240 in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is shifting from paving to bridge repair as part of the project encompassing the 4.1-mile stretch of I-240 in Memphis. This project extends from near Poplar Avenue (Exit 15) to Summer Avenue (Exit 12) at the I-40 and I-240 interchange. The bridge repairs will take place over 2 (two) weekends:
· Friday, August 22, 2025, 7:00 p.m. through Monday, August 25, 2025, 6:00 a.m:
Beginning just north of Walnut Grove (Exit 13) to I-40 East (Exit 12C)
I-240 east will have 2 (two) lanes closed and 3 (three) lanes open for bridge repair
· Friday, September 5, 2025, 7:00 p.m. through Monday, September 8, 2025, 6:00 a.m:
Beginning just north of Walnut Grove (Exit 13) to I-40 East (Exit 12C)
I-240 east will have 3 (three) lanes closed and 2 (two) lanes open for bridge repair
Access to continue I-40 east (Exit 12C) will be maintained at all times. The project's estimated completion is on or before November 30, 2025.
