Construction Prompts Lane Closures on I-75 in Hamilton County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – As part of the I-75 interchange improvements project at Hamilton Place, Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews will perform an overnight closure of the I-75 North exit ramp to Hamilton Place Boulevard on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM local time to facilitate necessary paving at the intersection of the exit ramp and Hamilton Place Boulevard. The work is being expedited to improve traffic flow in advance of the busy holiday shopping season at Hamilton Place Mall. Drivers should use Exit 5 to Shallowford Road during this closure.

This work is weather-dependent. In the event of inclement weather, the following week may be used as a contingency to complete the paving operation. The closure schedule has been coordinated to avoid impacts during peak daytime hours and Hamilton Place Mall business operations. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, expect delays, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
