Construction Activity Prompts Cusick Road Closure in Blount County

Motorists traveling on Cusick Road and Alcoa Highway (US 129/State Route 115) in Blount County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a temporary impact on traffic.

Beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday, November 21, Cusick Road will be closed from north of North Gate Road to south of Northpark Boulevard/Tarbett Road. Motorists can bypass the work zone by utilizing Alcoa Highway (US 129/State Route 115), Pellissippi Parkway (State Route 162), and Hunt Road (State Route 335).

The closure is expected to remain in place until 6 a.m. on Monday, November 24. 

This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions.  Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
