CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Drivers traveling on SR 153 in Hamilton County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have an impact on traffic. Tennessee Valley Authority contract crews will begin weekend closures of the SR 153 bridge over the Chickamauga Dam to perform resurfacing activities. Only one direction of SR 153 will be closed at a time. This work will occur over the next several weekends, except for Independence Day weekend. Once work on the SR 153 South side is complete (estimated 3 – 4 weekends) work will switch to the SR 153 North side (estimated 3 – 4 weekends).

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Drivers traveling on I-24 in Marion County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have an impact on traffic. Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will perform resurfacing activities on I-24 West near mile marker 137, resulting in temporary lane reductions.

NASHVILLE – Road Construction will not delay motorists as they travel Tennessee's highways this Memorial Day weekend. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes beginning at noon on Friday, May 24 through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists expected to travel in the state this Memorial Day weekend.
