Stephanie Maxwell is the General Counsel for the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council.

Prior to joining the Sports Wagering Council, Stephanie served as General Counsel to the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury and litigated at two Nashville law firms – Bass, Berry & Sims and Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis.

Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and holds a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. She is a past member of Harding Academy’s Board of Trustees, the board of the Nashville Aquatics Club, and sits on the board of the Middle Tennessee Alumni Chapter of Washington and Lee University.

Stephanie and her husband Kemp have three boys. She and her family enjoy hiking and swimming. She loves to read, and is especially interested in World War II history.
