Tennessee State Parks have an economic impact of $1.9 billion dollars in the state and support employment of 13,587 people, according to an analysis by a leading economic consulting firm.

NASHVILLE– Today, the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) announced the Lee Administration’s new proposed investment of $3 million to reach families in need. If approved by the Tennessee General Assembly, the department will provide a $120 one-time payment to eligible children in SNAP and TANF households in underserved or unserved counties identified by the Summer Food Service Program.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) today welcomed Magotteaux Inc. of Pulaski as the newest member of the Tennessee Green Star Partnership.

On February 13, Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Commissioner Jeff Long and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Colonel Matt Perry welcomed the newest graduating classes of Tennessee State Troopers. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Feb. 12, 2025 – Discover the musical story of Tennessee from the ones who are writing it during Tennessee Songwriters Week. From January 26 through February 8, more than 1,200 songwriters performed at nearly 50 qualifying round venues across the state. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Today, Gov. Bill Lee signed the Education Freedom Act, landmark legislation that establishes Tennessee’s first-ever universal school choice program. The Governor was joined by members of the Tennessee General Assembly and stakeholders, including dozens of Tennessee families, students and educators, to celebrate the Education Freedom Act’s passage into law with his signature.

NASHVILLE--Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions Commissioner Greg Gonzales announced today that the maximum effective formula rate of interest in Tennessee is 11.50 percent per annum. The rate is based on a ceiling of 4 percent over the weekly average prime loan rate of 7.50 percent as published by the Federal Reserve on February 10, 2025.
