NASHVILLE -- The Department of Revenue will host a free webinar on obtaining and using Tennessee resale certificates on June 30 at 9 a.m. Central time.

NASHVILLE--Commissioner of Financial Institutions Greg Gonzales announced today that the maximum effective formula rate of interest in Tennessee is 10.75 percent per annum. The rate is based on a ceiling of 4 percent over the weekly average prime loan rate of 6.75 percent as published by the Federal Reserve on June 22, 2026.

NASHVILLE – The statewide unemployment rate remained unchanged in May at 3.6%, according to the latest data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). This marks the fourth consecutive month the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has been 3.6%.

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and Appalachian Bear Rescue (ABR) are announcing that ABR will resume rehabilitation of orphaned black bear cubs from Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the Big South Fork National Recreation Area. Initially, ABR will have capacity to accept six black bear cubs in newly constructed pens at their facility in Townsend, TN. As the Agency responsible for management of wild bears in Tennessee, TWRA will continue to determine which cubs are viable candidates for rehabilitation at ABR.

McMinnville, Tenn ----The Caney Fork boating access ramp, Plumlee Ford, in Van Buren County, will continue to be closed at this time due to underlying circumstances.
