A free workshop to help job seekers with disabilities and other workers in Hickman County jumpstart their career.

The Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities meets four times a year to oversee the efforts of the agency. Meetings are open to the public, and an agenda for the meeting is available by request. Minutes from the most recent meeting are also available. Commercial Façade Grant Application Available

The purpose of the meeting will be to review the Proposed State Plan for Independent Living for FY 2021-2023. This state plan under Title VII, relates to promoting a philosophy of independent living in order to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The SILC is required to hold scheduled meetings that are open to the public.
