We created the Governor’s Excellence in Service Awards to recognize outstanding state employees who are transforming the way we deliver services each and every day.
When I became governor, one of my goals was to make Tennessee the best-managed state in the nation, providing the citizens of Tennessee with the highest quality service at the lowest possible cost. The employees selected by their department's leadership to receive the Governor’s Excellence in Service Award are at the forefront of helping us make that happen.
