Robert McCorkle

Senior Investigator
Sports Wagering Council

Before joining the Sports Wagering Council, Bob was enjoying his retirement from federal service as a Senior Special Agent with Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation.  As an IRS special agent for 25+ years, he conducted financial investigations involving asset forfeiture, fraud, identity theft, money laundering, and tax.  He worked multi-agency Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), bank fraud cases, Ponzi schemes, and has seen the successful criminal prosecution of domestic and international financial crimes.  Additionally, he has served as a
subject matter expert in digital forensics matters calling upon his extensive training and experience in extracting, processing and analyzing stored data from computers, tablets, mobile devices, vehicles and cloud sources.  Bob has dedicated his adult life to public service and believes his knowledge, skills and abilities can now help foster gaming compliance and protect Tennesseans from becoming victims of unscrupulous and illegal actors in the online wagering space.

Prior to federal service, he worked 11 years as a police and fire dispatcher for a 300-officer department in central Florida.

He is a graduate of the University of South Florida (B.S. Finance) and attended Florida Southern College where he completed post-baccalaureate courses in accounting, auditing and taxation.
