Peter Roth serves as the Director of Business Process Improvement. In his role, Peter collaborates with Insurance Division leadership and staff, as well as with other internal and external stakeholders, to identify opportunities to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.  

Peter joined the Department and the Division of Insurance in 2025. Under Governor Lee, he was one of the first Governor's Veteran Fellows in 2023, serving as Advisor to the Deputy Commissioner of the Environment. Prior to that, Peter served 21 years in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Green Beret. Peter has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston.
