Zach Crandall
Director, Policy Insurance
Zachary Crandall is the Director of the Division's Policy Analysis Section. This section reviews rate, rule, and policy form filings submitted by licensed insurance companies for accident and health, life, property and casualty, and workers’ compensation insurance to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and rules, as interpreted by the department. Mr. Crandall previously worked in the Division for six years prior to assuming his role as Director. First as a Life, Accident, and Health analyst and then as the manager of the Division's Property & Casualty Unit. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in Political Science at the University of Iowa and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois – Chicago.
