Licensed contract security companies may complete the form below to request a special event permit. Approved permits allow a licensed company to use temporary employees who are not registered with the Department as temporary security guards/officers.

Special event permits must be submitted at least 5 days before the beginning of the event, along with a $1,000 fee and information regarding temporary employees the company intends to use for the event.

Temporary employees may not act as temporary security guards/officers under a special event permit for more than 10 days in a calendar year.
