Mike Bearden serves as a Management Consultant in the Office of Customer Focused Government. In this role, he supports the Senior Management Consultants in strategy development, process improvement, and continuous engagement with Departments throughout the enterprise. Mike also assists in the execution of the Governor’s Veteran Fellowship Program, which rapidly transitions military professionals into state government leaders.

With an extensive background in leadership, strategy development, program management, and process improvement over a 20-year career in the United States Army, Mike brings a unique perspective to the office. During his time as a Green Beret, he served in numerous combat operations, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis from Norwich University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Security Studies from National Defense University. Mike enjoys understanding cultural dynamics, solving complex problems, building human capital, and improving processes and performance. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and is a certified Joint Operations Planner.
