NASHVILLE — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and Tennessee Department of Veterans Services (TDVS) Commissioner Tommy Baker announced the launch of the Veterans Connect Portal, a new statewide resource designed to make it easier for service members, Veterans, and their families to access the support they’ve earned.

WHITE PINE, Tenn. — Leadvale Access Area on Douglas Lake has temporarily reopened to provide public water access while crews await materials needed to finish repairs from Hurricane Helene. Once the remaining material arrives, the access area will need to close again for approximately one week so crews can complete work to restore safe, long‑term access.
