The Tennessee Wars Commission, the Tennessee Historical Commission division responsible for preserving the state’s significant military history, has announced the August 31, 2026 opening of this year’s grant cycle for the Tennessee Wars Commission Grant Fund (TWCGF). $94,000 in funding will be available from the TWCGF this year.

NASHVILLE --- The 2026 Tennessee three-day archery antlered-only deer season will be held Aug. 28-30 for private lands only and select Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in Deer Management Unit 1. NASHVILLE--Commissioner of Financial Institutions Greg Gonzales announced today that the maximum effective formula rate of interest in Tennessee is 10.75 percent per annum. The rate is based on a ceiling of 4 percent over the weekly average prime loan rate of 6.75 percent as published by the Federal Reserve on August 24, 2026.
