Natchez Trace State Park

Natchez Trace State Park features 23 miles of hiking trails. Options range from an easy 1-mile nature walk to a challenging 14-mile overnight trail. Backcountry campsites are available for those looking to spend more time on the trail. A permit, obtainable from the Visitor Center, is required in addition to site registration which can be made online here.

Natchez Trace State Forest

Natchez Trace State Forest offers 28 miles of hiking trails, along with camping, picnicking, and horseback riding opportunities. Off-highway vehicle (OHV) use is permitted on designated forest roads. The forest is home to 16 cemeteries, 62 historic sites, 1 prehistoric site, 4 ponds, and 1 primitive campsite.
