This project utilizes the peer-to-peer learning methodology, ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes), to bring physicians together to learn and discuss the successes and challenges in meeting the behavioral health needs of their patients. Topic experts will lead each individual interactive ECHO session. ECHO participants are also eligible to participate in an associated QI project.

 

Program Objectives:

Recognize the effects of trauma on the developing child | Identify children with psychological trauma and physical abuse in the primary care setting | Apply principals of trauma competent care in the primary care pediatric setting | Increase collaboration with community behavioral health providers | Effectively manage psychopharmacology

 

Target Audience:

Pediatricians and other primary care providers caring for children.
