The Commodity Supplemental Food Program works to improve the health of low income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious, 100 percent domestic foods.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program works to improve the health of low-income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious, 100 percent domestic foods.  The Program is administered by the Tennessee Department of Health, with approximately 9,000 participants receiving monthly  benefits in three counties:  Davidson, Dyer, and Shelby.

Overview

Below is the list of all CSFP sites.  There are three (3) food distribution sites in Davidson County, one (1) in Dyer County, and one (1) in Shelby County. To apply, contact your local CSFP office.

Note to Davidson County residents: Current and potential participants should contact Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle TN at (615) 329-3491 to apply and to obtain more information about specific locations.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible for this program, you must be:

  • Over 60 years of age
  • Live in one the three program areas (Davidson, Dyer, or Shelby County)
  • At or below 150 percent of Federal poverty income guidelines
