Overview
This course reveals some typical challenges associated with the the inspection of unsafe structures as well as the administration and enforcement of the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC). Next, the course will guide the student through several predominate challenges associated with enforcement of the IPMC such as legal and administrative issues and the difficulties possible when dealing with property owners and tenants. Training will also include determination of the nature and severity of violations, unsafe structures, notification of different departments, fire or life safety considerations, and how the noncompliant condition can be resolved.
