Manicurist

A manicurist is a person who manicures or pedicures the nails of any person, or performs nail artistry.

Requirements

Licensing Requirements
Be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

Education Requirements
Satisfactory completion of a course of instruction of not less than 600 hours in the practice and theory of manicuring at a school of cosmetology.

Examination Requirements

Application & Fees

Complete the “Initial Manicurist Application” online at core.tn.gov. The fee for the application is $60.
