Parole Hearing Schedules

The Tennessee Board of Parole makes the schedule of parole hearings available for the convenience of the public. This list is updated each Monday, unless that day is a holiday. When a Monday holiday occurs, the list will be updated on Tuesday. To view the current schedules for Tennessee State Prisons and County jails, follow the links below.

Every effort is made to ensure that the information on the list is accurate. However, users should be aware that last-minute changes can and do occur from time to time and can affect the schedule, particularly in the event of inclement weather or other unavoidable circumstances. The Board of Parole will not be liable for any damages, direct or indirect, with regard to cancellation of hearings. Contacting the agency's main office directly is recommended. Call 615.741.1150 and ask for the Parole Hearings Division.

Family and/or other supporters of offenders should contact the Institutional Probation/Parole Officer (IPPO) at the prison where the offender is housed for further information on that offender's parole hearing, and to let the IPPO know if they plan to attend. The IPPOs are located at each one of the state prisons, as well as in the jails in Davidson and Shelby Counties. They are employed by the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC), and serve as liaisons between the Board of Parole and TDOC.

There are specific rules that must be followed when entering prisons. The sooner the IPPO is contacted, the more help he/she can offer to all persons wishing to attend a parole hearing. A list of prisons is on the TDOC's web site.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Board of Parole will begin implementation of virtual public attendance at select county jail parole hearings via Microsoft Teams.   As part of this pilot project, Macon County Jail, Henderson County Jail and
Washington County Jail are the only participating correctional facilities currently allowing video participation. Additional facilities may be added in the future.

Click the link below to register for virtual attendance: BP Form 0280 Parole Hearing Video Participation Request.  Please refer to the hearing location dropdown on the Parole Hearing Video Request form for participating facilities.  To download forms, save to your computer, then open with Adobe for best functionality.

If you are unable to download the form for any reason, please send a request by sending an email to BOP.Webmail@tn.gov.

If video participation is not an option, members of the public may participate in a hearing by appearing in person at the facility where the hearing is located. It is recommended to contact the facility first to confirm they are allowing public admittance into parole hearings.

Victims of crime who wish to attend a hearing to voice opposition to the release of the offender involved in the crime against them may contact the Victim Services Division at 615.532.8112 or 866.795.7467 toll free or by emailing victim.witness@tn.gov
