Healthy and productive livestock is an important part of Tennessee's diverse agriculture. Livestock includes horses, cows and other farm animals.
Currently, Livestock and products account for more than $1.1 billion in cash receipts annually. Tennessee ranks second in the U.S. for the number of horses and meat goats.
The Department works with farmers to ensure that this valuable asset is protected.
