Performance Dashboard
Use this dashboard to see how Tennessee’s 23 cabinet-level departments are performing.
Each year, departments set Key Operational Goals and Strategic Initiatives through the state’s performance management process. Progress is tracked using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Milestones, aligned to the Governor’s Operational Priorities. This dashboard shows the publicly available goals and results.
What you can do here:
• Pick a department to view its Key Operational Goals (and KPIs) and Strategic Initiatives (and Milestones).
• See KPI baselines, targets, and results tied to the Governor’s Operational Priorities, then select a specific goal or initiative to explore more detail.
• Use interactive features (filters, clicking, and hovering) to focus on what matters to you and better understand what the data is showing.
Helpful Terms:
• Key Operational Goals: Improvements to existing programs, services, and day-to-day operations.
• Strategic Initiatives: New or transformational projects (or major expansions of services).
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): The measurable data used to track progress on Key Operational Goals.
• Milestones: The key steps and due dates used to track progress on Strategic Initiatives.
• Baselines and targets: The most recent measured value (baseline) and the goal value Tennessee is working toward (target).
