Certified Burn Manager Continuing Education Portal
To maintain your status as a TN Certified Burn Manger, you are required to complete three (3) hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit within 3 years from last certification. Once the 3 credits are submitted, you are refreshed for three years from that submission date. This helps ensure that all Certified Burn Mangers remain current on prescribed fire practices, safety, and evolving standards.
How to Submit CE Credits
Use the Survey123 form linked below to submit your CE documentation. Submissions must include proof of completed training or activities that relate directly to prescribed fire or wildland fire management.
Acceptable forms of documentation include:
- Certificates of completion for relevant courses or webinars
- Agendas or attendance confirmations for wildland fire related workshops or conferences
- A completed and signed burn plan written by the Certified burn Manager
- Completed burn plan with the TN Certified burn manager as burn boss
- Completed burn plan with TN Certified Burn Manager listed as a resource
- NWCG course certificates related to prescribed or wildland fire
Important Notes:
- You must submit 3 hours of documentation within a three year time period from your last certification date. Please note that there is a 6-month grace period
- Incomplete or unsigned documentation will not be accepted
- Submissions are subject to review and approval by program administrators on a monthly basis
