Volunteer Fire Assistance
Fire departments serving communities with populations of 10,000 or less are eligible to complete applications for the Division of Forestry’s Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) Program. Successful applicants will receive VFA Wildland Fire Suppression Kits to supplement their department's wildland firefighting capacity. These kits will consist of wildland fire personal protective equipment, tools, and other supplies with a total value of approximately $3,000.00.
The application period for FY 2022 will open in early 2022 (dates to be determined).
