America's Kids Belong

We at America’s Kids Belong believe every child in foster care is unique and carries with them their own story, but they have a few things in common: resilience, big dreams and even greater potential. They just need a loving, patient, and supportive family to help them thrive. That’s why we are thrilled to be partnering with Governor Haslam, First Lady Crissy Haslam, and the Department of Children’s Services for the launch of TNFosters.

America’s Kids Belong is a national organization that mobilizes government, faith-based, business and creative leaders around the goal of permanency and belonging for every child. By uniting these spheres, America’s Kids Belong runs innovative campaigns in states to ensure that every child is in a loving home by recruiting more foster and adoptive families, as well as engaging wrap-around support for at-risk, foster and adoptive families.

Our organization believes TNFosters is an opportunity to continue to strengthen and sustain the progress of Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services. It is an opportunity for government, faith, business, creative and non-profit leaders to say “yes” to supporting children in foster care. It is the time to wrap around birth, foster and adoptive families. And it is a way to tell children in foster care that they are seen, precious, and worthy of belonging.

Our team is honored and excited to be a part of this amazing movement. Together we can change the story for children in foster care. Please join us in the TNFosters movement and find your role in this new story today.

Tennessee Alliance for Children & Families

For many years the Tennessee Alliance for Children and Families has represented the common interests of the many private member agencies who care for Tennessee’s most vulnerable children and their families. Across the state, these agencies provide care for Tennessee’s children through foster care, adoption, residential care, family reunification, counseling and custody prevention.

Last year, member agencies provided services to over 7,000 abused, neglected, delinquent and troubled children. Every year millions of dollars in private community support is raised by the TN Alliance member agencies to supplement the full cost of providing services to children and families. Our member agencies are working hard to ensure positive outcomes for children while also seeking to provide a needed service for the citizens of Tennessee in the care of its at risk and abused/neglected children and families.
