Doyle, Tenn. - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and arrest of Gary Dewayne Goodwin. Revenue special agents arrested Goodwin, age 55, last week his residence. Bond was set at $10,000. On June 5, 2019, the White County Grand Jury indicted Goodwin on one Class E felony count of tax evasion.

A recent report from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) shows a more than 20% increase of identity theft in the Volunteer State last year as 6,808 Tennesseans reported being a victim of identity theft. Scam artists have preyed on Tennesseans, making the Tennessee the 21st in the nation for reports of identity theft.
