MEMPHIS – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is accepting applications for the first Citizens’ Academy Classes in Memphis. This first class will meet on May 10th at The Greater Imani Church; sessions will run from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Additional May classes will meet on the 10th, 17th and 24th. Classes will resume June 7th, and will meet again on the 14th, 21th and 28th.

The department simultaneously instructed a regular 16-week trooper cadet class and a 10-week lateral trooper cadet class. NASHVILLE – The state of Tennessee recorded another drop in statewide unemployment at the start of 2022, according to newly released data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). January is the latest month the rate has decreased, or remained steady, since April 2020.

This project will support provider engagement, strategic planning, and public awareness of risk reduction, early diagnosis, and treatment. TDH is one of 16 public health departments awarded this capacity-building opportunity under the Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act.
