The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security hosted the annual First Responder Awards ceremony today. The event held in Conservation Hall at the Tennessee Residence honors those who have dedicated their lives for the safety and security of Tennesseans.
Today, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security were joined by partners with Tennessee Donor Services and Mid-South Transplant Foundation recognizing the Summer Avenue Driver Services employees as the overall statewide winner in the Blue/Green Challenge! All Driver Services Centers are challenged to encourage as many organ and tissue donors when customers visit a Driver Services Center in order to save lives.

On August 13th, 2019, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Fall Branch Interdiction Plus Trooper William Connors stopped a 2005 Chevrolet on I-75 South in Monroe County, Tennessee for several traffic violations.
On August 8, 2019, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Knoxville Regional Dispatch Operator Zach Bisch received a call from a domestic assault victim while inside a moving vehicle. During the call it became apparent to Operator Bisch that a female was being struck and held against her will. Due to the caller’s open cellphone line, dispatch was able to determine that the vehicle was traveling West on I-40.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) Driver Services Division began issuing Real ID driver license and identification cards July 1, 2019. Starting today, Tennessee residents have four new avenues to obtain a Real ID rather than visiting a Driver Services Center.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) Driver Services Division has begun issuing REAL ID driver license and identification cards effective July 1, 2019. All driver services centers are equipped and ready to issue the credentials to Tennesseans who decide to obtain the REAL ID.

His responsibilities include oversight of the Support Services Division, which includes Fleet and Tennessee Advanced Communications Network (TACN).

Training Center located at 283 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, Tennessee. 37214. Sessions will run from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with dinner starting at 5:45 p.m. weekly on Tuesday evenings.
During the Bonnaroo Festival, the area in and around Manchester sees increased traffic volume as festival-goers make their way into the festival site. As Manchester prepares to welcome a multitude of visitors, the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are gearing up for the extra traffic expected in the area. TDOT and THP are working closely with the Manchester Police Department, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department and festival promoters to keep traffic moving on I-24 while also getting Bonnaroo attendees to their destination.
