NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is seeking fields to lease for the upcoming 2025 dove season. Landowners can earn up to $4,000 for providing a dove field for public hunting. These fields must be available for a minimum of three priority hunt dates in September. The first segment of dove season opens at noon on Labor Day, Sept. 1.

NASHVILLE – The Turney Center Industrial Complex partnered with multiple organizations over the weekend to host a Build-A-Guitar workshop for inmates in the facility’s Music Club. President Emeritus of Belmont University, Dr. Bob Fisher, who now sits on the Board of Directors at the Tennessee-based nonprofit, Instrumental Horizons, coordinated the event - where inmates received expert instruction from one of Nashville’s top luthiers and crafted 10 handmade guitars to be used at the facility.

NASHVILLE--Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions Commissioner Greg Gonzales announced today that the maximum effective formula rate of interest in Tennessee is 11.50 percent per annum. The rate is based on a ceiling of 4 percent over the weekly average prime loan rate of 7.50 percent as published by the Federal Reserve on July 29, 2025.
