Donate Life Tennessee, Tennessee Donor Services and Mid-South Transplant kicked off their Honoring Local Heroes collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security by installing plaques recognizing local organ and tissue donors and recipients at the Franklin Driver Services Center.

Upon completion of the remodel, citizens can expect new furniture, fresh paint, new countertops, and an expanded parking lot!

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Murfreesboro Driver Services Center, located at 1035 Samsonite Boulevard, which closed for a planned remodel in September, will reopen to the public on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security will reopen the Shelbyville Driver Services Center located at 200 Dover Street, Suite #108 on Monday, Nov. 13. The Shelbyville Driver Services Center closed after it was damaged by flooding in December of 2022.
The Franklin Driver Services Center, located at 3830 Carothers Parkway, will close for a planned remodel on Nov. 10. During the remodel, citizens can visit the Driver Services mobile units, Williamson County’s self-service kiosk, nearby Driver Services Centers, or complete transactions online.

The Nashville Downtown Express Driver Services Center, located in the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower at 312 Rosa Parks Ave., will close for a planned remodel on Friday, Sept. 1, and will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023.
On Thursday, Aug. 24, Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Commissioner Jeff Long, Assistant Commissioner of Driver Services Michael Hogan, Rutherford County Mayor Joe Carr, and Rutherford County Clerk Lisa Duke Crowell held a ribbon cutting ceremony, celebrating the opening of the Bart Smith Building, which will house an additional Rutherford County Clerk’s Office and an Express Driver Services Center.
