The Tennessee Department of Agriculture is announcing a new structure for its division dedicated to supporting new and expanding agricultural and forestry businesses.

The Tennessee Pest Control Licensing and Advisory Board will meet July 15, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. CDT in the conference room of the Holeman Building at Ellington Agricultural Center, located at 424 Hogan Road in Nashville, Tenn.

NASHVILLE – New legislative measures will deepen the State of Tennessee’s commitment to firefighters, police officers and members of the military while enhancing existing consumer laws that protect the Volunteer State’s vulnerable adults.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) Driver Services Division has begun issuing REAL ID driver license and identification cards effective July 1, 2019. All driver services centers are equipped and ready to issue the credentials to Tennesseans who decide to obtain the REAL ID.

More Tennesseans are now eligible for free mental health services through the state’s Behavioral Health Safety Net program. New, broader eligibility criteria take effect today (July 1, 2019) increasing the number of uninsured, underinsured, and indigent people who can receive services through the program.

Lightning Source®, a part of Ingram Content Group, will invest $22 million and create nearly 150 jobs in Madison County over the next three years.

Stewart of the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) announced the promotion of Matt Perry to Lieutenant Colonel Executive Officer. To promote responsible land management for more efficient use of state resources, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture is transferring jurisdiction of a portion of the Cedars of Lebanon complex to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
