NASHVILLE – The CoverKids program has selected DentaQuest USA Insurance Company as the Dental Benefits Manager (DBM) for the Children’s Health Insurance Program. The five-year contract was awarded on November 19, 2014, with an effective date of January 2, 2015. There will be a six-month transitional period and the delivery of services will begin July 1, 2015, which is the start of the new fiscal year.
Federal officials have informed the state that they would not extend the necessary waiver to allow the CoverTN program to continue beyond December 31, 2013.
Today the AccessTN Board of Directors convened to discuss the options available to the state of Tennessee in extending coverage for current members who were previously notified their coverage would end December 31, 2013.

NASHVILLE – The AccessTN Board of Directors voted yesterday to reopen enrollment to new members in the state-run high risk insurance plan. The change is effective immediately.
