The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is accepting applications for the 2017 Spring Citizens’ Trooper Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. Classes start April 18 at The McGhee Tyson Airport in Alcoa, Tennessee. Sessions run from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. weekly.
On March 10, 2017, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Chattanooga District Troopers Kevin Hoppe and Larry Fowler were working along I-75 South in Bradley County. They observed a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck commit a traffic violation around the 27 mile marker.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reminds motorists to buckle up and drive sober during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. State Troopers will utilize traffic safety enforcement tools, including saturation patrols, along with sobriety and seat belt checkpoints.
