Inmate Disciplinary Oversight Board

The Tennessee Inmate Disciplinary Oversight Board is established as an autonomous inmate disciplinary oversight board. The purpose of the board is to review the grant, denial, and removal of inmate sentence credits by a warden for good institutional behavior and to determine whether sentence credits previously awarded should be removed for commission of a major infraction designated by the department as a Class A disciplinary offense or for an inmate's refusal to participate in an assignment.

Eliza Fletcher - adbucted and killed memphis teacher

IN MEMORY OF ELIZA FLETCHER (posted 9/2/24)

Two years ago today, Mrs. Eliza Fletcher, loving mother and junior kindergarten teacher at St. Mary's Episcopal church, was brutally kidnapped and murdered while on her morning run. Liza was not only an avid runner but the embodiment of love to both her family and her community. Since January 1, 2024, the Tennessee Inmate Disciplinary Oversight Board has been working to ensure that no Tennessee citizen becomes another needless victim of preventable criminal brutality. Today we remember the loss of Mrs. Fletcher, and all the victims of violent crimes, as we vow to continue our work in ensuring that any offender currently incarcerated in a Tennessee prison serves their time to the full extent of the law. The loss of Mrs. Fletcher, and the impact of her killing on both her family and our entire state, will never be forgotten as we remember both her life and the ones left behind after her loss.
