Gov. Lee Announces Key Judicial and Legal Appointments
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Today, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced three key judicial and legal appointments.
“I am proud to announce the appointment of these highly qualified individuals and value the significant experience they will bring to their respective roles,” said Gov. Lee. “I appreciate their leadership and am confident they will serve Tennesseans with integrity.”
The following Tennesseans have been appointed:
· Chris Frulla – Circuit Court Judge, 30th Judicial District
· Raymond Lepone – Criminal Court Judge, 30th Judicial District
· Thomas Dean – District Attorney, 18th Judicial District
Chris Frulla currently serves as a partner at Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, PLC. Frulla earned his bachelor’s degree at University of Oregon and juris doctor at Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. The 30th Judicial District covers Shelby County, and Frulla has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Valerie Smith to the appellate bench, effective immediately.
Raymond Lepone currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Tennessee Attorney General within the Criminal Appeals Division. Lepone earned his bachelor’s degree at Kennesaw State University and juris doctor at Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. The 30th Judicial District covers Shelby County, and Lepone has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Paula Skahan, effective immediately.
Thomas Dean currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney in Sumner County. Dean earned his bachelor’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University and juris doctor at University of Tennessee. The 18th Judicial District covers Sumner County, and Dean has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of General Ray Whitley, effective September 1.
