Governor Lee, Commissioner McWhorter Announce RedDOT Corporation to Expand Manufacturing and Distribution Operations in Memphis
· Leader in mobile HVAC solutions to invest $18 million, create 50 new jobs in Shelby County
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and RedDOT Corporation officials announced today the company will invest $18 million to expand its manufacturing and distribution operations in Memphis, Tennessee.
Through this project, RedDOT will create 50 new jobs in Shelby County.
The company will add approximately 175,000 square feet of space to its existing facility to help meet increased customer demand and market growth in the Southeastern U.S.
Originally founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1965, RedDOT Corporation manufactures premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles. The company currently has facilities in North America, Europe and Asia. With the additional 50 new jobs in Memphis, RedDOT Corporation will employ nearly 100 Tennesseans.
Since 2019, TNECD has supported more than 60 economic development projects in Shelby County, resulting in approximately 8,000 job commitments and nearly $2 billion in capital investment.
