Overview: This 1-hour course is designed to provide electricians, inspectors, and electrical professionals with a focused review of conductor ampacity and overcurrent protection requirements as defined by the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). Students will gain practical knowledge of applying Table 310.16 for conductor sizing, identifying proper terminal temperature ratings per NEC 110.14(C), and selecting overcurrent protective devices in accordance with NEC 240. Emphasis is placed on real-world application, code compliance, and safety. The course also addresses common NEC exceptions such as the next-size-up rule (240.4(B)) and conductor tap rules (240.21).
